Lake Trasimeno / Perugia – Chiusi / Cortona
Castiglione del Lago, city of Slow food, and one of the most beautiful towns in Italy.
Situated on a rocky outcrop, it dominates the Trasimeno Lake with its castle, the four corner towers and the impressive triangular fortress. From the harbor you can embark for mini cruises on the lake and to the islands.
The Natural Park of Lake Trasimeno, the largest of the six natural parks in Umbria, is of particular interest for its geomorphologic, botanical and animal species.
Do not miss a stop in the naturalistic oasis or a boat trip, worth visiting the small but picturesque towns around the shores of the lake such as Passignano, San Feliciano and enjoy a beautiful sunset in the small village of Monte del Lago.
Città della Pieve, (20mins from the property) birthplace of Perugino, offers us some of the most important works of the “divine painter”. Always in the footsteps of the Perugino, a few kilometers away we find the beautiful village of Panicale and Paciano; you can then make a stop in Fontignano, where the painter was buried, and then continue to Perugia; do not miss a visit to the Collegio del Cambio and the National Gallery of Umbria, for archeology enthusiasts also the city’s Archaeological Museum.
Chiusi, ancient Etruscan city, boasts one of the most important archaeological museums, underground tombs with frescoes of considerable interest, as well as the famous Labyrinth of Porsenna;
The archaeological tour can continue with a visit to nearby Cortona (necropolis of Sodo, Tanella Pythagoras, Tabula Cortonensis) in addition to visiting the beautiful hermitage of Celle, location also known for being the city of Santa Margherita.

Montepulciano / Siena / Arezzo – Orvieto / Lake Bolsena
Visit the town of Montepulciano overlooking Val D’orcia, famous for it’s vines and renowned for it’s “The Noble” wine. Suggestive visits to wineries with tastings of wine, oil and cheese all immersed in natural beauty. The surrounding area offers a wide choice of places to truly experience Tuscany, such as Pienza and Montalcino. Continuing to explore in this area, you can reach the beautiful city of Siena with the beautiful Piazza del Campo where they hold the famous Palio of Siena. Take a visit to this beautiful city rich in history and works of art. Nearby we also recommend the town of San Gimignano, known for its numerous towers and the beautiful Volterra. Nearby is also the city of Arezzo known for the art works of the painter Piero della Francesca; The city also hosted artists and writers such as Giorgio Vasari and Francesco Petrarca.
Orvieto: one of the oldest cities in Italy, perched on a tufa rock, the impressive view of the cathedral decorated with important art works, including the famous frescoes of Luca Signorelli and the Reliquary of the Corporal as well as the famous monuments including the St. Patrick’s Well and the beautiful view of the Umbrian valley from the gardens of the “Roccia”.
Heading south, you can admire the beautiful landscapes of Lake Bolsena and taste the local fish dishes, also enjoy a wonderful stroll along the small fishing villages found on the shores of the lake such as Bolsena, Marta and Capo di Monte, ending in a visit to the town of Montefiascone.

Florence / Rome
The city of Florence known for being “the cradle of the Renaissance” houses masterpieces by artists renowned worldwide. From Michelangelo to Leonardo, Filippo Lippi and Paolo Uccello. You can’t miss the visits to the numerous museums such as the famous Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery, the Palazzo Vecchio, the square with the magnificent statue of David and the Loggia dei Lanzi.
Other countless monuments and sights await you in this wonderful city developed on the banks of the Arno; in addition to the handcraft markets, the famous San Lorenzo market. Sample traditional dishes in trattoria’s and enjoy a relaxed delicious glass of wine sitting admiring the many wonders offered by this city.
Another possible day excursion from the property, is a trip to the splendid city of Lucca, the Amphitheatre square and the Cathedral of San Martino and the beautiful Pisa, its Square of Miracles and the Leaning Tower.
Rome: the “Eternal City” is an open-air museum, a city where every corner, every church and every square hide secrets, where stories need to be discoveried and lived. Visit the famous Vatican Museums and villas where in which host exhibits and galleries; as well as shopping in the Piazza di Spagna, walking through its streets you can admire palaces and monuments of all periods and styles, from the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain known as the set of the famous Fellini film “La Dolce Vita”, by Piazza Navona to Phanteon. Suggestive visit to Cinecittà and the Castelli Romani; Also excursion to the town of Tivoli and Ostia with its archaeological park and a nice walk to the sea at the Lido.
